Job Overview:

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff members in the performance of their duties and assisting the PESS Director and Assistant Director in the administration of a 24 hour operation.

Qualifications:

Required:

Master s degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical field requiredCertified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediately eligible with six months of hire requiredThree years experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services; and two years supervisory experience in a crisis setting.

Essential Functions:

Assists staff n case management functions when appropriate.Brings all unusual situations, incidents, or difficulties encountered in the provision of emergency services to the attention of the Director of Emergency Services or his/her designate.Coordinates with the Assistant Director, staff schedules in order to provide 24 hour coverage, seven days per week.Provides supervision and reviews client charts for accuracy and completeness and brings any discrepancies to the attention of the department management.Supervises and develops the implementation of treatment plans for clients based upon the team assessment.Supervises mobile practicum for designated screening centers.Supervises the triage of in-coming clients and assigns cases to staff members as appropriate.
