Our Night Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the leadership of our second/third shift team working at our Grandville, MI food processing facility. The focus will be on safety, team, quality and cost control through effective planning, training, organization, team development and all other attributes a skilled leader would use. The core values of Meijer will constantly be a framework that will help support and guide our operations.


 

What You'll be Doing:

· Leads the team with a proactive involvement in safety in a food processing facility. Utilizes our 200% accountability as a key tool.

· Interview, hire, lead and supervise manufacturing plant team members.

· Works with other leaders on planning and work coordination to meet production goals.

· Leads, coaches, trains and assures needed tools available to achieve or exceed goals in cost controls, quality, cleanliness and safety goals.

· Ensure our teams ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

· Effectively lead our team members to improve plant key performance indicators and manufacturing/operational metrics.

· Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment while ensuring adherence to Meijer policies, procedures and practices.

· Ensure all team members are following GMP policies.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

· Bachelor’s Degree with applicable focus is preferred.

· 3+ years of leadership and/or production management experience, preferring food background.

· Proven analytical, root cause, problem solving and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Working knowledge of reports, financials/PL
