All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** : Monday – Friday **Location:** 893 Hope Way Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 **The role you’ll contribute:** **The Absence Management Supervisor oversees the operational areas of absence management, including paid time off programs, leave of absence and return to work administration for the HR Shared Services department, providing oversight of the day-to-day activities of a team of PTO/Absence Management and Return to Work (RTW) Specialists. As a leader in human resources and absence management, the supervisor assists with operationalizing the strategic direction of HR Shared Services leadership, aligning internal processes to meet required service expectations for the team. The Absence Management Supervisor is responsible for staying up to date on applicable legal and regulatory changes, recommending updates to internal policy and processes and new system functionality.** **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + **Lead team daily operations to achieve desired levels of performance, quality, and efficiency** + **Supervise a professional team of Specialists focused on customer service and subject-matter expertise; monitor and follow-up on workload distribution and facilitate quality assurance observations to ensure service standards are met** + **Liaise with the 3rd party leave administration vendor, managing daily escalations and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement in process** + **Hire, onboard, train and coach team members to encourage growth, development, and engagement, providing ongoing training opportunities and progressive discipline, as needed** + **Act as a subject matter expert in the management of areas of PTO and all other paid time off programs, as well as 3rd party sick pay programs offered to AH team members, AH leave of absence policies/programs and the Return-to-Work clearance program** + **Manage and distribute system and vendor reports for research and transaction, ensuring the team meets firm deadlines in support of payroll processing** + **Identify gaps in service and process inefficiencies; recommend revised procedures and programs that streamline processes and improve service delivery** + **Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with leave administration vendors and applicable benefit vendors, Employee Health departments, Risk Management, internal Shared Services cross teams, HRIS teams, and facility level leaders** + **Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and facility leaders, interpreting and clarifying applicable policies/procedures, engaging in open dialogue to identify and address process and service opportunities** + **Analyze case trends, reporting facility or company-wide issues to Sr. Management; make recommendations for resolution; create internal team processes, and ensure team adherence to standard operating procedures involving high and critical level cases that have potential widespread impact** + **Monitor team compliance with HIPAA, maintaining employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information** + **Identify and create needed standard operating procedures for the position** + **Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, honoring work schedules, meeting deadlines, and coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner** Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:** + **Bachelor's Degree OR 10 years related experience** + **1 experience in support of leave administration or absence management** + **1 experience supervising others or in a lead role** + **Knowledge and understanding of employee benefits administration, including applicable state and federal regulations surrounding FMLA, ADA, USERRA, HIPAA, PPACA (ACA), ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations** **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:** + **Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP** + **PHR or SHRM-CP** This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
