The role requires a strong work ethic, a high degree of accountability, initiative, and ability to build relationships with internal and external colleagues. This is a full - time position. The position starts at $25 an hour and increases to $34 based on years of service.** + Work alongside Envoy and American Airlines personnel in the Station Operation Center for the Chicago, IL (ORD) hub as well as associated vendors + Support the SkyWest Airlines American Airlines operation in ORD by communicating with the SkyWest OCC and local department management + Possess the ability to document and maintain detailed record keeping of any safety or performance trends that arise + Advocate for SkyWest Airlines best interest by promoting a safe and reliable operation in ORD in the form of escalating different issues in real time that involve gate assignments, aircraft towing, crew movement, and other airport operations functions + Attend daily performance and safety meetings + Monitor operational performance and submit delay recode requests when required **Minimum Requirements** + Previous airline ground operational experience + Proficient in basic computer programs + Multi-task on a computer, with multiple programs and systems operating at once + Effectively communicate to a variety of internal and external work groups, often in time critical and stressful situations Preferred Experience + Experience with AA network systems and operational tools + Experience working at an airline hub + Understanding of an airline hub operation control center + Previous airline operational leadership experience + Working knowledge of ORD airfield and ground operations + Strong knowledge of airline performance metrics and nomenclature **Physical and Other Requirements** + 18 years of age or older + Have a high school diploma or GED + Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license + Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen + Possess all necessary credentials to obtain airport credentials if needed + Sit at a computer for extended periods of time This job posting may have an additional video interview requirement.
