Supervisor Animal Operations
We have an exciting opportunity for a **SUPERVISOR – Animal Operations** to join our Metabolism team in Greenfield Indiana. In this position you will lead of team of Study Technicians/Research Assistants in preclinical drug studies. Duties include but not limited to; + Plans, assigns and schedules staff to carry out task for pre-clinical drug studies. + Assures that assigned projects are in compliance with established protocols, SOPs, GLPs, and other appropriate regulations. + Assists in the conduct of routine preclinical studies, ordering of lab animal and major equipment, determining space availability, and other departmental issues. + Assures that staff are trained and proficient in all phases of applicable laboratory operations. + Learns supervisory duties including full range of recruitment activities, performance evaluation activities, prepares training plans, and executes Affirmative Action goals in department. + Proactive interaction with internal and external clients and suppliers. Cooperates and maintains good relationships with other groups. + Evaluates data to assure regulatory guidelines and scientific expectations are met. **What we look for?** + Highly prefer candidates with 3 or more years of laboratory animal research. + Prior supervisory or team lead experience in animal research or related fields is preferred. + Knowledge of GLPs and regulatory agencies is required. + Associate degree or higher with strong emphasis in Life Sciences is preferred, however experience may be substituted for education. + AALAS certification at Technician or Technologist level is preferred. + Strong communication skills in both verbal and written. + Prior experience in presenting training, standard work processes and data analysis to employees and clients is preferred. **What we offer?** Culture of CARE where Clients, Animals, Research, and Employees are at the heart of our attention and respect.
