SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Employee will provide leadership, support, and assistance to coach cleaners as appropriate to support quality objectives and matain workplace safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitor the work force personnel, equipment and services provided Work with Coach Cleaner Manager to address ongoing cleaning needs, proactively identify cleaning issues, and identify solutions. Inspect Inbound trains to assess and determine workload for coach cleaners. Responsible for setting up and/or briefing coach cleaners in yard and/or station. Deliver timely and appropriate turnover incoming supervisor (s). Provide leadership that will improve overall quality and effectiveness of cleaning through collaboration, innovation, and ability to motivate others. Ensuring Amtrak's Service Standards are upheld and delivered by instruction through hands on oversight of the working environment Performs audits and evaluates work performance Conducts counseling sessions verbally and in writing MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have prior customer service or passenger experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Prior demonstrated satisfactory job performance Prior satisfactory attendance Administers coaching and counseling Knowledge of rules and regulations with respect Amtrak's Service Standards and Union agreements Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Transportation industry supervisory experience Prefer supervisory experience and knowledge of the Amtrak system, policies, procedures, and service standards.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Prepare and deliver presentations to other individuals, groups and departments relating to various types of information including metrics & data. The rate is $3,788.38 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
