UPMC Pine Acute Partial and IOP are looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist Supervisor to join the team! Pine Acute Partial and IOP supports adolescents experiencing acute symptoms of depression and anxiety. Our program supports adolescents in stabilizing their mental health before stepping down to a lower level of care, such as outpatient. A main goal of our program is to assist adolescents in maintaining safety without the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
The position involves supervising behavioral health therapists both clinically and administratively. It includes providing outpatient treatment for patients with mental health diagnoses who qualify for outpatient or partial hospitalization. Additionally, the role serves as a senior member of the therapy team.
This position will work in our Wexford Office, Monday – Friday 8-4:30.
Responsibilities:
Oversight and Assessments: Conduct and document assessments, create treatment plans, and assess patient needs for outpatient/partial hospitalization programs. Therapy and Documentation: Provide individual and group therapy, participate in team meetings, and complete same-day clinical documentation. Service Authorization: Provide clinical information for service authorization and review cases with the Director. Additional Services: Assess and refer patients to other care levels or community programs as needed. Productivity and Quality Assurance: Maintain daily productivity records and participate in quality assurance activities. Team Management: Direct and assign work to therapists, conduct performance reviews, and enforce policies. Operational Support: Recruit new employees, coordinate admissions, and supervise daily clinical activities. Issue Management: Alert management of issues and assume leadership in the Director’s absence. Training and Supervision: Collaborate on training needs assessments, provide staff training, and supervise therapists, incorporating evidence-based treatment.
