Supervisor Cardiology

Scope of work Reporting to a Manager in the Heart & Vascular Service Line, the Supervisor, Cardiology independently directs operations of one or more of the following noninvasive cardiology services: Stress Lab, Cardiac Rehabilitation, EKG, Echocardiographic Lab, monitors, or EEG, to ensure that quality patient care is provided. Directs the work activities of subordinate professionals and other support personnel engaged in providing a variety of services for cardiology patients. Responsible for work assignments, performance appraisals, and skills validations. Troubleshoots operational issues and addresses interdepartmental concerns. Manages DS applications and may serve on committees. Essential Functions + Responsible for staffing and scheduling + Interviews candidates, completes hiring processes, and provides training and skills validation. + Responsible for administering annual competencies and necessary training. + Interacts with and maintains communication with other departments. + Collects, monitors, and analyzes data for cardiology QA/QI initiatives. + Performs as a ‘working supervisor’ – performs duties of team members. + Plans and holds regular staff meetings. + Completes payroll for the department and other departments as needed. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree Preferred. + Associate's degree Preferred. + EKG or related Technical Training course/certificate Preferred. + A minimum of three years’ clinical experience in an EKG/cardiovascular related field Required. + Experience in stress testing and non-invasive services Preferred. + AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required. + AHA Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Preferred. + Certified EKG Technician (CET) Preferred. + ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) Preferred.
