This position is responsible for assuring that work practices and procedures within the assigned department are performed to meet high quality standards of patient care and regulatory requirements.  This responsibility includes both working the bench as well as administrative time for overseeing the technical activities of the assigned department.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science with certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP or equivalent organization. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification Or Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists Or Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government  5 years Clinical experience with demonstrated technical expertise in the division for which the individual is responsible.
