The Atlantic Mobile Health Dispatcher Communications Supervisor is responsible for the operation of the Atlantic Mobile Health Communications Division. This includes online supervision and oversight for the Transport BLS, MAV, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Critical Care (Air Medical & Ground) Communications.
The ideal candidate is committed to safety, detail oriented and one who can function well in a fast paced, dynamic environment where finding solutions to complex logistical challenges is a must. World class customer service and communication skills are mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensures for the orderly operation of the AMH EMS Communications Center.
2. Participates on the training committee assures the implementation and on-going phase of departmental training.
3. Prepares Quality Assurance Data for the Department for submission to the Manager.
4. Attends and represents the Department at various meetings and committees on local and county levels as needed.
5. Responsible for execution of the Emergency Management Plans for the Communications Center and submits a report when an activation occurs.
6. Assures that all full-time employee assignments are completed as assigned by the Manager.
7. Handles intake of complaints regarding communications and submits written documentation pertaining to the same to the Manager.
8. Monitors staff for accurate and comprehensive completion of all reports and documents assigned to Dispatch Center personnel.
9. Assists in planning and implementing objectives for the department.
10. Assists the Manager toward achieving and maintaining accreditation in the Commission of Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) & Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Providers (CAMTS) programs. Escalates concerns regarding questionable matters to appropriate management
11. Operates all equipment under the Rules and Regulations of the Federal Communications Commission and the New Jersey State Department of Health. Office of Emergency Medical Services, as pertains to the function of a Mobile Healthcare Communications Center.
ducation:
High School Graduate or GED
Experience:
+ Emergency Telecommunications preferred
+ Incident Command Levels 100, 200, 700 & 800
+ EMS Communications Supervisor Experience preferred
+ Advanced Incident Command Levels 300 & 400 preferred
Certifications:
+ Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic (Preferred)
+ CPR (AHA BLS or equivalent)
+ Emergency Medical Dispatcher (IAEMD or AEMD)
+ Certified Flight Communicator (Preferred)
