MAJOR FUNCTION:
Manages the daily operations of the CT department and other Medical Imaging areas if necessary.  Supervises, instructs, evaluates, and coaches/counsels’ employees. Maintains records and procedures for maintenance, in-service, education, radiation exposure reporting, and supplies for area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: 

Graduate from an approved, accredited School of Radiology. 5 years' experience as a CT Technologist. 3years of supervisory experience preferred. 

Certification/Licensure:

ARRT required, current licensure by the state of New Jersey. Advanced certification in CT required. AHA CPR certified.

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrates knowledge of and follows hospital policies and procedures regarding abuse and neglect. Must have vast knowledge of all areas of Computed Tomography and have the ability to work independently. 

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients.  Lifts supplies and equipment.  Subject to potential electrical and radiation hazards.
