Job Description:

Data Center - Supervisor Service Delivery

Requirements:

Under general supervision this position coordinates and supervises the activities of the computer room, with critical systems that operate on a twenty-four-hour schedule. Responsible for supervising the data center activities: installing hardware for customers; installing and replacing cables, components, and accessories; maintaining records and schematics of the center to detail what equipment is installed/removed. Customer support responsibilities might include escorting customers through the center on tours and/or audits, responding to customer inquiries and coordinating with other organizations. Administrative duties include scheduling employee shifts, planning for changes, maintaining data center standards and tools, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Provide support on budget/forecast preparation and monitoring, prioritizing, and assigning work, performance management, employee relations, and related activities. Manages the technical/service relationship between the company and the customer, and between the company and subcontractors/vendors. Works with the key customers and/or internal businesses/end user representatives (Infrastructure Support Managers, Client Manager, and the Account Delivery Manager) to retain customers and build the business.

Responsibilities:

Manage team primarily comprised of Supervisor I, non-exempt or ENT/INT employees, or contingent workforce with well-defined, limited scope, including directing daily work activities/priorities, people recruitment and development, and cost management.Coach and mentor employee direct reports. Manage FPR process for company employees. Manage team and individual performance.Role is primarily tactical in nature.Ensure operational excellence by monitoring and ensuring team goals and key contractual commitments are met (e.g. SLAs or service delivery goals, costs/budget)Advise management and peers on matters of importance to area(s) of responsibility. May propose and influence direction-setting.Resolve/monitor moderately complex customer escalations as appropriate.Maintain existing customer relationships as well as with other functional managers.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.Typically, 6+ years of relevant experience.Preferably to get a certificate in Data Center Operations, HVAC, RCDD, PMP or DC related domain.

Data Center Responsibilities:

Responsible for supervising the following activities in the data center:

Communication. -  Interface with accounts and management levels via phone call, instant messaging, email, and other DXC interface tools.Documentation and Reporting. -Create and maintain documentation related to site specific activities performed including processes and procedures.Data center planning of data center space and layout for new device installations, removals, and cabling infrastructure buildsSupport DXC Technology’s Service Management process and procedures including supervising activities in the designated DXC Technology tools and ticketing systems.Inventory Management System. Ensure compliance with physical inspection and collection of information related to IT equipment within the data center white spaces, storage rooms, loading docks, and other locations onsite in the facilities as documented within this SOW.Shipping/Receiving and Loading Dock. Ensure compliance with shipping/receiving functions.Media Administration Services. Enforcement of all DXC documented policies and processes related to Media Management.Enforcement of all DXC documented policies and processes related to Installation and Removal of IT equipment.Enforcement of all DXC documented policies and processes related to cabling services.
