**Description** Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department, in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager, in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels. Is responsible for QI program development, implementation and follow-up. Is responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files, work schedules, annual reviews and competency testing. Is a source of technical expertise in equipment needs. Is responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.
