Summary

JOB SUMMARY: Provides for daily management and supervision of all activities within the Emergency Department Registration area.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Scheduling and Staffing Maintains adequate staffing for 24 hour coverage. Training Responsible for departmental orientation of new employees. Press Ganey Achieves departmental goal for scores within Emergency Room Registration. Communication Utilizes excellent verbal communication, telephone manner, interviewing and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, other departments etc. Monthly Reports Demonstrates ability to develop reports using PC spreadsheet applications and other Hospital reporting mechanisms. Teamwork/Self Management Presents a positive image through professional appearance and behavior.

Qualifications/Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Experience 1-3 years.
