Job Description:

In this role you will lead and coordinate Environmental Services department which provides services for Allina Health facilities, which accommodate between 220 beds – 700 beds. This position oversees and manages a 1.5-million-dollar labor budget, ensuring efficient use of resource utilization and strict adherence to financial guidelines. Additionally, will handle significant logistics managing between 800,000 lbs. – 3.7 million lbs. of linen annually.Principle ResponsibilitiesSupervises a team of 30 direct reports across various shifts maintaining a high performance in a unionized setting.Optimizes employee scheduling, adjust shifts as needed and manage EPIC workflows to ensure smooth transitions.Coordinates hospital EPIC planning in partnership with nursing and hospital leadership, ensuring alignment with overall hospital strategies.Drives process improvement and project management initiatives, including system-wide linen reduction efforts.Leads evaluations and trials of new products, such as chemicals and equipment, ensuring they meet the department’s needs and efficiency standards.Collaborates with infection prevention teams to ensure strict compliance with environmental audit standards.Other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsMust be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description2+ years of housekeeping experience3+ years of experience in supervising staff, preferably in a health care setting
Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GEDSome college
Licenses/CertificationsCertified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional preferred
Physical DemandsSedentary:Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $27.04 to $37.07 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
