Supervisor - Environmental Services - Day shift - Full time
The starting rate for this position is: $41,860 annually Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. Summary Under the direction of the Director of Hospitality, the Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Environmental Services. Collaborates with Nursing and other departments to provide high quality cleanliness to all areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry. + Oversees Environmental Services Assistant team + Onboards, trains, and coach new employees + Conducts department training and monthly safety training + Completes Quality Assurance Inspections including blacklight and room audits + Inventory management and ordering of all housekeeping supplies and chemicals + Maintains department schedules and time off requests + High level of engagement with staff, patients, and visitors to maintain cleanliness + Comprehension of Press Ganey and Patient Experience + Follows Infection Control guideless and department standard operating cleaning procedures + Relays Pest Control issues throughout the hospital. + Maintains adequate level of PPE for all Environmental Service Associates + Completes daily rounds of all inpatient units and common areas + Other duties as consistent with this role. Job Requirements Job Knowledge and Skills + Healthcare cleaning experience preferred Education and Experience + Management/Supervisor experience required An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements. Working Conditions/Physical Demands Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
