Supervisor Food and Nutrition Services

Under the direction of the Manager, Nutrition, supervises the day-to-day operations with approximately half of the work time spent on the physical running of the Nutrition Services Department. Job duties include, but not limited to: implement policies, procedures and work standards; monitors quality management indicators; supervises production & service staff; ensures departmental staffing, cleanliness, sanitation, tidiness & safety.  Assists registered dietitians in supporting the needs of diet office staff.  Able to cover production and diet aide shifts, if necessary.

Required qualifications:

National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association within 6 months (180 days) of hire. 3 years of experience with therapeutic diets including menu processing and interacting with patients, family members & Nursing staff. Computer experience, using word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Preferred qualifications:

Certified Dietary Manager credential, or Dietary Services Supervisor certificate upon hire. 3 years of food service management or supervisorial experience, including quantity food preparation & customer service, in an acute care setting.
