Supervisor of Housekeeping / Environmental Services
Essential Job Duties:
Investigate all unlawful acts occurring on Union Hospital property and take appropriate action when warranted. Ensure compliance with JCAHO, State Board of Health, State Fire Marshal, and other regulatory agencies and third-party standards. Address unsafe hazardous conditions within the hospital by taking corrective action when necessary. Maintain contact and coordinate security activities with Federal, State, County, and local Law Enforcement Agencies. Manage the operation of parking facilities to ensure efficient use and safety. Ensure that supervised personnel are aware of and adhere to compliance regulations, attending annual training and updates. Ensure that department activities align with federal and state regulations and promptly report any conflicts. Foster a courteous, friendly, and attentive environment with a focus on guest relations. Assist in developing and maintaining short and long-term goals for the department/unit guest relations program. Plan, organize, and conduct in-service training at least annually to promote guest relations expectations. Assess the effectiveness of in-service programs and make revisions or recommendations as needed.Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree from a recognized college or university with a major in business, criminology, or related area or equivalent experience of at least two years in Security or law enforcement. At least one year of experience in a same or similar position, or two or more years in a management position with some knowledge, training, and experience in Law Enforcement. Significant education and training in Law Enforcement may substitute for experience. Knowledge of hospital operations is preferred. Flexible schedule as needed to meet the needs of the department.
