Position Profile: The Supervisor I, Delivery & Install is responsible for ensuring the timely scheduling and delivery of equipment to customers. This role involves supervising 10 or more delivery personnel and/or overseeing multiple delivery locations. The supervisor ensures compliance with DOT and state regulations and manages the processes, personnel, and assets used in fulfilling customer orders for equipment, including warehousing, delivery, and reverse logistics.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Train delivery personnel in the loading, unloading, and installation of equipment. Schedule and route delivery trucks daily according to customer requests. Communicate special needs and requests to delivery drivers. Ensure equipment is configured according to pick tickets/sales orders. Process all paperwork accurately and completely. Report issues to the configuration center manager/transportation manager. Ensure delivery fleet safety and compliance with DOT and state laws. Maintain delivery vehicles and develop a preventive maintenance schedule. Coordinate with third-party delivery companies. Ensure delivery times are met and the correct equipment is shipped. Oversee the safe and proper loading/receipt of equipment being shipped to remote transfer center locations and/or configuration centers. Assist in creating processes and procedures to ensure operational success. Work with the inventory control manager to monitor inventory quality and maintain appropriate levels. Conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner. Collaborate with other functional areas to meet external and internal customer needs. Manage transfer center expenses and adhere to budget guidelines. Establish and track performance metrics for areas within the transfer center. Ensure the on-time delivery of equipment to customers. Identify customer needs and determine appropriate actions; refer calls to the appropriate party and support various multiple channels. Obtain certification for the operation and use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and stair climbers. Effectively recruit, interview, and select staff. Provide coaching, mentoring, advice, and guidance on employee development and performance-related matters. Ensure compliance with equipment inventory policies and procedures within transfer centers. Foster a helpful and positive work culture. Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with coworkers and outside vendors. Conduct oneself in accordance with Ricoh's code of ethics. Perform other duties as assigned. Work within a limited scope of authority under pre-established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Understand that actions may impact some adjacent units and the immediate work unit.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):

High school diploma or equivalent education required. Three to five years of supervisory and management experience in the transportation/delivery industry required. General knowledge of computerized routing systems and handling hazardous materials required. Good systems knowledge and computer skills required. Familiarity with local carrier routes and standard trucking industry practices and procedures preferred. Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations is a plus.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands: Typically an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise levels. Diversified work assignments requiring the interpretation, comprehension, and application of complex material, data, and instructions. Minimal physical effort required; work is mostly sedentary but may require walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying objects typically weighing less than 10 lbs. Moderate dexterity required for regular use of basic skills (e.g., calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
