Volt is immediately hiring for a Shift Supervisor in Cedar Rapids, IA

As a Shift Supervisor, you will:

\r\n\r\n

• Coordinate the day-to-day manufacturing activities of production workers to meet the production schedules, volume, cost and quality standards. This position will have 20 production associates under their direction.

\r\n\r\n

• Responsible for safety, on-time service, quality, productivity, operator training and flexibility in the manufacture of miniature circuit breakers for a variety of customers.

\r\n\r\n

• Manage the assembly operation following the company guidelines through the use of SIM (Short Interval Management) boards and other processes.

\r\n\r\n

• Must be able to motivate the team as well as collaborate on new ideas and activities to eliminate barriers and exceed goals.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

This job might be for you if you have:

\r\n\r\n

• Bachelor’s degree. Degree in the field of Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field is preferred.

\r\n\r\n

• Previous supervisory experience

\r\n\r\n

• Ability to lead, effectively communicate and problem solve

\r\n\r\n

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems

\r\n\r\n

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing/Six Sigma concepts

\r\n\r\n

• Flexible to respond to shifting priorities and ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks

\r\n\r\n

• Positive, enthusiastic, team player and champion of the business and customers

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Shift: Friday – Sunday (1st shift: 6:00 am-6:00 pm or 3rd Shift: 6:00 pm-6:00 am)

\r\n\r\n

Duration: 12 Months+

\r\n\r\n

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA, 52498

\r\n\r\n

Work Schedule: Onsite

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Pay rate: $35/hr. to $42/hr.

\r\n\r\n

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
