About the Criminalize Survivors Program: For over 30 years, the STEPS Criminalize Survivors Program has offered comprehensive clinical and legal support services to survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) or other forms of gender-based violence (GBV) who have been criminalize for their efforts to survive or resist abusive partner behavior. We support survivors facing felony and/or misdemeanor charges in any borough. In addition, STEPS CSP has a designated advocate/counselor serving criminalize survivors on site at the Manhattan and Brooklyn Family Justice Centers, and a Training Team that helps lead the City's whole response to criminalize survivors.

 

The CSP Supervisor will provide consistent, reliable, and relationally grounded supervision to at least half of the direct service ATI staff. The Supervisor will have an advanced clinical degree, ample direct practice and supervisory experience and the ability to supervise graduate students. Additionally, the Supervisor will work collaboratively to meet the administrative and reporting needs of the ATI contract. The Supervisor will also carry a small caseload of ATI clients and manage
intakes and referrals.

 

Responsibilities Provide consistent, reliable and relationally grounded supervision to at least half of the direct service ATI staff, and graduate students, as needed;Work collaboratively to meet the administrative and reporting needs of the ATI contract;Provide survivor-centered counseling and advocacy to a small caseload of ATI clients;Manage intakes and referralsWork closely with CSP Director to plan and facilitate weekly team meetings and annual retreats;Collaborate with leadership to monitor and ensure quality of ATI services;Facilitate group supervision using Seeking Safety, or in combination with other evidence-based interventions.Other tasks as assigned by STEPS leadership. Qualifications LMSW or LMHC required.MSW or other relevant, graduate degree required;Strong and dynamic counseling, advocacy, and supervisory skills; Nuanced understanding of the dynamics of gender-based violence and systems of oppression; Meaningful commitment to practicing from an anti-oppressive, healing-centered stance;High level of self-awareness and ability to give and receive feedback well;
Impeccable attention to detail, systems, and processes;
Ability to work with flexibility, independence, accountability, passion, and humor.

 

Starting Salary $80,000

Hybrid (2) remote, (3) in-office
