MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR
 

THE POSITION

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily schedule of Maintenance Technicians performing maintenance, repairs, and improvements on plant equipment and processes. Supervisory responsibility for management of employee performance, discipline, development, and recourse planning. Responsible for monitoring labor and material costs.

Plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of maintenance technicians using SAP CMMS (ADDS (Autonomous Downtime Dispatch System)) for planning / execution. Mentor Technicians utilizing problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control and continuous process improvement tools Drive high-performance work culture by engaging with team members on the floor and coaching to problem solve, make decisions, and become self-reliant Collaborate with different departments to analyze failures, develop, and implement permanent corrective action and preventive action plans – ensure compliance across all assigned shifts Works with other departments to negotiate and align scheduled resources to meet project goals and timing. Manage SAP (ADDS) work orders for breakdown and planned maintenance activities – ensure timely closure of same. Participate in setting departmental goals and expectations while ensuring compliance Ensure adherence to procedures, 5S, & safety standards as required by law and company policy Ensure sufficient inventories of tools, parts, and supplies are maintained to properly maintain the equipment Regular reassessment of priorities to balance multiple priorities and production demands Creates succession roadmap for key roles in the team Assigns merit increases and salary planning in accordance with performance Responsible of reviewing existing PM plans and improving them by collaborating with engineering and Preventive Maintenance team. Develop and Implement procedures for proper PM of the equipment with detailed work instructions for effective PM activities. Responsible of reviewing critical spare part list for equipment and ensuring parts are available in the Tool Crib for each asset. Responsible for working closely with equipment supplier to identify and schedule training opportunities for maintenance team. Willingness to work off shift hours and flow to the work as needed Develop & maintain documentation on equipment operation & troubleshooting (to be used for training purposes) Asses and track technician competency and drive development to meet expectations. Drive technician recruiting & hiring activities (resume review, selection , interview, aling with HR) Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

 

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience or Associates technical degree or equivalent military Certification degree and 7 years of experience. Microsoft suite knowledge (Power Point, Excel, Word, Teams) Language Skills: English Expert Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to be decisive, proactive, and strategic in decision making Strong demonstrated technical and mechanical ability in order to coach others on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to motivate and actively train in a high stress environment Ability to work under pressure, coordination with others, discipline, and urgency sense Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing. More than 2 years in a leadership role Bilingual Spanish/English Project management experience would be valued for this role, as the individual will manage costs, schedules, and resources for the work Familiar with interpretation of mechanical drawings and pneumatic and electrical schematics Use of mechanical and electrical power tools and measurement devices & tools. Understanding and knowledge of industrial machinery & electromechanical systems: machine elements, electro-pneumatics, sensors, PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems, hydraulics, and robotics. Experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment. Experience and strong knowledge on any of the following is strongly preferred: Six axis robotics (FANUC, Staubli, Motoman, UR) PLC and HMI Programming (Allen Bradley) Vision systems equipment and process (COGNEX, Keyence 2D Camera and 3D profilometer) Point to point soldering process and equipment Conformal Coating equipment and process Laser welding process and equipment Chemical Dispensing processes and equipment
