The Supervisor - Mining Contracts, reporting to the Superintendent Mine Operations, is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of sites contracts, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and that partnerships with our business partners drive value for the site. The role requires close collaboration with contracting partners, proactive leadership in the field, compliance monitoring, and financial management to ensure site operations are effective, safe, and aligned with organizational goals.
Location: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)

In This Role You Will: Assist in managing day-to-day requirements of site contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed terms, deliverables, and timelines. Act as a point of contact for contractors, addressing issues, and resolving disputes promptly to maintain operational continuity. Build and maintain strong working relationships with contracting partners to foster a culture of trust, collaboration and mutual benefit. Identify opportunities to add value through contractor engagement, process improvement, and innovative practices. Assist in coaching contractors and internal teams to ensure best safety practices are followed across site operations. Lead by example in demonstrating safety-first behaviour and reinforcing organisational values in the field. Conduct regular audits of internal operations and contractor activities to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Track, manage, and analyse costs associated with site contracts to ensure budget adherence and cost-effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the workforce to identify opportunities to enhance the operations safety, efficiency, performance and cost management. About You:• Strong understanding of contract management principles, mining operations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contracting partners.
• Demonstrated experience in field leadership, coaching, and promoting safety culture.
• Proficiency in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Financial acumen with experience in cost tracking, accruals, and budget management.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work under pressure.
