Supervisor Nursing - Diagnostic Radiology

The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is a responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit.  It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate.  CSs scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care.  The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree: Nursing, Clinical Supervisors employed prior to 1/1/17 who have not obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing are required to obtain BSN within 3 years from 1/1/17. Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire: ANCC recognized specialty certification (or within 1 year of hire). For clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022, who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022. One year: Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area. One year: Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree: Nursing Shared Governance experience.
