DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is accountable for ensuring that meals served to patients, staff and visitors are within Federal, State and local health regulations. This position has full responsibility of inventory items, food production, equipment, ordering and receiving of supplies, covers management responsibilities of the department in the absence of the Manager of Nutrition Services.
This position has overall responsibility for operation of patient meal service and cafeteria operation. Hands-on work, in combination with leadership/supervisory duties make this position vital to daily operations and the overall success of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational CDM license required or obtained within 12 months of hire. Food service experience is required. IDPH sanitation certificate is required. Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised. Requires three (3) or more years of experience.
Personal Must demonstrate high standards of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Must demonstrate good social skills and a commitment to quality. Must demonstrate willingness to work as a member of a team. Must demonstrate and promote the D-10 philosophy.
