What you will do:
 

The supervisor of crisis services is responsible for the planning, priority setting, coordination, and evaluation of crisis services across the SPHP acute care emergency rooms, ensuring high reliability services.

This position spans the entirety of St. Peters Health Partners Emergency Services, ensuring education for colleagues, providers, and leaders around the criteria and regulations of crisis services, legals, admission criteria and resources both internal and external. This position assists in identifying and operationalizing integration efforts of behavioral health services across the system as they relate to crisis services in conjunction with the Behavioral Health Operations Director, Director of Emergency Room Services and other key stakeholders.

This position is also responsible for identifying and maintaining relationships with key community stakeholders and regulatory agencies as they relate to crisis services, admission prevention, community services to ensure crisis psychiatric services out of SPHP remain at the forefront of decision making for local government units as well as key state regulatory agencies. This position supports efforts across the care continuum as a subject matter expert as it relates to crisis services.

This position oversees progression of care for behavioral health patients within the emergency room setting and works to ensure access for all in need while ensuring good stewardship of resources while being fiscally responsible.

Responsibilities:

Develops plans for implementation of programs of care and/or additional services.

Identifies unmet programmatic needs of populations and develops business plans for new programs/services or expansion of existing ones.Participates with management staff and clinical executive in policy development and strategic planning.Coordinates with management staff and executive director to establishes annual goals for behavioral health services.Facilitate/Participate in unit-based/department run tiered huddle process, including ER huddlesReview daily MIDAS eventsNICS reporting for all ED’s.Complete monthly Quality Assurance auditing processes (environmental, restraints, ligature alarms, documentation, etc.) and follow up on any safety related Quality action plans for the program.Responsible for participating in recruitment, onboarding, orientation of new staffAssist with initial and annual performance evaluations as well as performance goal settingAssist staff with admissions/discharges/meds/evaluations when unit is acuteAccountable for mandatory education completion (e.g CPR, SCIP, etc.) and ensuring staff attendance at skills labs offered through Nursing EducationTeam building, staff recognitionMonthly staff meetings or standardized mode of communication for staffMaintain open communication/standard meeting cadence with community-based providers including, but not limited to system of care, OMH, Unity House, ACT, LGU, etc.Enter Crisis stats into flowsheetParticipate in routine departmental leadership meetingsParticipate in SPHP Leadership trainingsResponsible for Standout check ins, Pulse Survey Action Planning, Stay Interviews and Retention efforts as indicatedResponsible for developing and maintaining open communication with ED leadership across shifts and campusesResponsible for oversight of scheduling and timekeeping in UKG DimensionsManagement of timely completion of crisis evaluations across three Emergency Departments (whether virtual or in person)Oversee integration efforts of crisis services across acute careOversee education and oversight of legals across acute emergency room settingsGarner continual feedback from key stakeholders around the crisis evaluation process and how it relates to emergency department flowParticipate and collaborate in workplace violence reduction committees.

What you will need:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Nursing Degree or other advanced licensed professional preferred.   Master's degree is required.A minimum of five years recent experience providing clinical, administrative, and fiscal supervision in a behavioral health setting, specifically substance abuse, and preferably with multi-site supervisory responsibilities and mental health treatment experience.  Demonstrated knowledge of JCAHO (CSM) standards and OMH/OASIS regulatory requirements related to all levels of care in behavioral health services.  At least two years’ experience in the provision of direct care in a chemical dependency setting, inclusive of the QHP requirement.

Pay Range: $27.15 - 38.03

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
