S:US is seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance for our transitional shelter in Brooklyn.
Location: 1329-1331 St Johns Pl. New York, NY 11213
In this position the Supervisor Maintenance will:
Supervise the assignments of the porter and provide indirect supervision, as requested, or maintenance workers.Prepare work order schedules and submit on a regular basis to facility managementDistribute rent invoices and other property management correspondenceProvide weekly report of work performed to director of facility managementSupervise all assigned dutiesMaintain records of all service/maintenance of building systemsMaintain control of supplies and uniformsGenerate requisitions whenever supplies need replenishingPerform all repairs needed in the facility, such as all light fixtures, electrical outlets, plumbing and replacement of necessary plumbing material for proper usageInstall and assemble cabinets, furniture or other items as needed by the facilityAll other duties assigned by facilities management or program director Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAt least three years of building maintenance experience in a large residential/institutional setting working with special needs population requiredMust possess good interpersonal skillsDriver’s License strongly preferred, not requiredBenefits Overview: We offer attractive compensation with comprehensive benefits including: Medical/Dental/Prescription/Vision/Life Insurance; 403(b); Credit Union; FSAs; Short-and-Long-Term Disability; Transportation Plan; Generous Paid Vacations and Holidays’
