Supervisor of Patient Accounts

**Job Summary**
The Supervisor of Patient Accounts leads daily activities of their assigned teams and responsibilities. Monitors workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
**Essential Functions**
+ Effectively leads, coaches, trains and counsels team members as necessary
+ Monitors employee performance for compliance with PPS/CHS policies and guidelines
+ Schedules staff according to operational needs
+ Establishes and monitors team goals
+ Handles escalated issues related to daily operations
+ Reviews work completed by staff for accuracy and completeness
+ Facilitates departmental meetings
+ Reviews employees/contractors timecards for accuracy and use of Vac/SL/Unpaid time within policy. Approve time for payroll as necessary
+ Communicates questions or concerns for prompt resolution
+ Recommends changes to processes as appropriate
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Health care management or Business required
+ 0-1 years 6 months leadership or supervisory experience required
+ 5-7 years at least 5 years of revenue cycle management with a general knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding; or equivalent combination of education and experience. required
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Knowledge of W-9 and 1099 processes, procedures, reporting, and general accounting practices.
+ In depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ General knowledge of computer systems usage, AS/400 specific knowledge a plus.
+ Conscientious individual capable of following instructions and exercising independent thought and judgment.
+ Effective organizational and communication skills
+ Computer Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.
