Supervisor of Sterile Processing - Sterile Processing

The Supervisor of Sterile Processing is the administrative leader who is responsible for implementing the organizational and departmental mission, vision, values and goals. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Perioperative Services, the Manager is accountable for the operational aspects of the department to supervise and monitor all aspects of the daily operations and quality care outcomes for this department. This position is responsible for all aspects of staff management, conducting performance evaluations, departmental management, and for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer. Administrative responsibilities include: performance evaluations, hiring, discipline and terminations. This position, along with the Senior Director of Perioperative Services, will contribute to the department’s budget preparation, development of quality improvement programs, facilitation of professional development for staff, and preparation and maintenance of regulatory requirements, such as DNV, OSHA, etc. This position also provides oversight and guidance to the clinical team when evaluating workflow, outcomes, and executing best practices. The Manager is responsible for communicating the above to the staff and other members of the healthcare and administrative team. This position collaborates with fellow perioperative leadership to create a culture that lives the values of SPH. 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in Sterile Processing required. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Certification in sterile processing required. Maintain certification required.
