Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial - scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.  Visit the Bagdad town website (https://bagdadaztown.com/) to learn more. **Description** Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit. + Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit + Communicate goals and expectations and hold people accountable + Implement production plans according to approved schedule and make adjustments as necessary + Participate in the full range of daily operational duties + Coordinate activities with other departments + Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas, and may direct remedial action + Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff + Conduct incident investigations + Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities + Maintain an inventory of parts and materials + Approve purchases of materials and equipment; maintain time, materials and equipment use reports + Requisition tools, supplies, materials and equipment. + Is a Safety Champion; train staff in safety procedures + Perform training needs assessments for the crew + Perform other duties as required **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR + Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment **Preferred** + None **Criteria/Conditions** + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English + Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards + Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment + Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required + Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws **What We Offer You** The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  **$87,000-$121,000.**  This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
