Outpatient Infusion Supervisor Position Summary
The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions.
The Outpatient Infusion Services Supervisor is responsible for the direct oversight and management of personnel assigned to outpatient infusion service areas on the Ocean Pines Campus. This position is responsible for all aspects of daily infusion services operations and assures provision of care to infusion patients by utilizing the nursing processes and principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with members of the healthcare team. The Supervisor performs various duties to ensure that quality and regulatory requirements of the department are consistently achieved and assists Cancer Services Operations Manager in meeting the needs of staff and patients. Infusion Services Supervisor is responsible for outpatient infusion services including chemotherapy/immunotherapy.Outpatient Infusion Supervisor Position Requirements
Education
Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) is required Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.Required License
Licensed as a Registered Nurse is required. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification required. Oncology Clinical Nurse (OCN) certification or obtained within three (3) years of date of hire or transfer.Experience
Minimum of five (5) years as a staff nurse in acute care nursing with three (3) years experience in medical oncology and Outpatient infusion is required.Outpatient Infusion Supervisor Schedule
Works primarily day shift hours. Work additional hours on occasion to meet unit needs. Expected to respond to any crisis, i.e., snow, hurricane, disaster, high census, etc.Outpatient Infusion Supervisor Benefits
