Job Overview:
The Patient Financial Services Supervisor will provide oversight and management of the Financial Counselor team and daily operations. This role is essential in guiding patients through financial challenges, thereby facilitating their access to necessary healthcare services.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ Bachelor s degree in business administration or related concentration.
+ High School diploma and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor s degree
+ Minimum 2-3 years experience in healthcare business office operations
+ Prior experience with Charity Care and Medicaid
+ Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Preferred:
+ Prior Management or Supervisory experience
+ American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management Certification (AAHAM)
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Full Time
+ Monday-Friday
+ 9:00am-5:00pm
Essential Functions:
+ Providing communication to patients regarding their financial responsibilities
+ Presenting patients with all guidelines and requirements of Medicaid and Charity Care programs
+ Providing guidance to staff on insurance company practices regarding reimbursement
+ Leading teams to achieve desired goals and objectives
+ Mentoring staff and providing consistent performance management
+ Ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
