Supervisor - Pharmacy
**Overview** The Supervisor will have multi department responsibility and will supervise a team of employees who have daily interactions with providers/service line leaders. The Supervisor is responsible for providing direction, leadership, project management and oversight of the business functions for the designated area. Responsible for staff, work processes and quality initiatives in the assigned program, pharmacy, or service line. The Supervisor will have a strong knowledge of the area and will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and manage operational objectives. This position partners with key stakeholders to drive strategic objectives, including, but not limited to program growth, financial stewardship, quality assurance, customer service, process improvement, and regulatory compliance. **Responsibilities Job Description** + Supervise and provide leadership to a team of pharmacy technicians, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. + Coordinate and schedule daily activities to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operation of the pharmacy department. + Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations and policies. + Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. + Monitor medication dispensing processes to ensure adherence to proper procedures and quality standards. + Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and provide guidance on proper medication use. + Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. + Stay updated with industry developments, new medications, and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and provide training to pharmacy technicians as needed. + Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize errors and promote a safe working environment. + Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among pharmacy technicians. **Qualifications** + Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Minnesota (Nationally certified preferred). + Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician (previous supervisor experience preferred). + Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team of pharmacy technicians and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing medication orders and documentation. + Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and regulatory requirements. + Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology. + Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff. + Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or difficult situations professionally and tactfully. + Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address operational issues and improve processes. **EEO Statement** EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status **Benefit Overview** Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
