*Description* Summary: Under the direction of the manager, provides day-to-day management and supervision of professional and support staff for assigned areas. Ensures staffing level, competency, and scheduling. Provides leadership support to team. Participates in the development and implementation of growth opportunities and new programs. Assists Manager in budget. Responsibilities: 1.Delivers patient care per operational need. 2. Provides staff supervision to include performance reviews, performance improvement, productivity and competency. 3. Under direction of manager, participates in disciplinary action. 4. Assists with goal setting/planning and ensures staff goals are in line with department & hospital goals. Acts as resource to staff. Insures staff competencies. 5. Recruits staff and maintains adequate staffing levels. 6. Ensures patient satisfaction, and effective customer relations between patient & staff. 7. Implements and revises policies & procedures. 8. Participates in development of the budget under the direction of the manager. 9. Assists manager with development and implementation of performance improvement plan. Orchestrates peer review, education & provides mentoring to staff. 10. May participate in marketing and promotional activities. 11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Skills Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or equivalent experience. - NYS license in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. - 2 years in similar setting - Supervisory experience preferred Other Information: Education Essential: * Bachelor's Level Degree Working Conditions: Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Some occupational risk Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort.
