Supervisor -Quality Control
Supervision of product quality technicians including monitoring daily productivity, coaching, scheduling, training, and performance Essential Duties: + Responsible for leading team to attain and support daily Key Performance Indicators for area managed such as safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement. + Must be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and make data driven decisions. + Lead and manage a team of direct reports to deliver business results through evaluating performance. + Facilitate and lead team to implement and complete continuous improvements + Provide direction for improvement opportunities including training and development of the team. + Facilitate communication between team, support groups and management + Ensure appropriate training is assigned and completed for direct reports. + Responsible to lead team Evaluates staffing needs and assigns available resources. + Ensure adequate PQT coverage to support Operational production schedule. + Delegate daily duties to team members and support Operations as necessary. + Consistently apply and execute policies and standards. + Conduct layered audits and ensures that operational processes are being followed consistently. + Manage performance reviews and time keeping for area of responsibility. + Understand off shift opportunities and facilitate resolution. Safety and Physical Requirements: + All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with Policies and Procedures. + Wear PPE when appropriate in designated areas. + Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion. Key Competencies: + Problem Solving + Building Effective Teams + Drive for Results + Motivating Others + Conflict Management + Customer Focus Education and Experience: + Associates Degree or equivalent experience required 8+ years in a quality related role in the automotive industry required Prior experience supervising employees required, preferred in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and specifications. + Ability to schedule and prioritize resources. + Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment Strong understanding of IATF16949 and Core tools (Control Plans, Process Flow, FMEA, MSA, SPC) CQT or CQA preferred. + lATF Auditor preferred.
