Supervisor (Rental Car Driver)
**Overview** The Rental Car Driver Supervisor manages the drivers as they move vehicles to and from assigned locations. Depending on the contractual need, this could be around an airport or rental car facility. **Basic Qualifications:** + Must be 21 years of age or older + Must possess valid, unexpired driver's license + No experience required and on the job training provided + No high school diploma, GED or college degree required **Preferred Qualifications:** + Supervisor Experience + One (1) year of similar work experience **Responsibilities:** + Ensure employees are “fit for duty” while at work. Employees who are sick, exhausted, injured, etc. and unable to perform their duties safely should be sent home. These situations should be reported to Management, as some of them may require some type of intervention from HR. + Once on the clock, check employee sign in sheet to see who should be working. Get head count and be aware of your staffing levels throughout your shift. Ensure employees and supervisors are punching out for their lunch break. + Speak with Supervisor before your shift and find out what the operational concerns are for the day. + Have daily huddles to make certain all employees are accounted for and give them any information they might need for the day. + If you are the only Supervisor on your shift, be able to work the entire lot while delegating operational tasks to stronger more tenured employees to help your shift run effectively. + Train employees on proper procedures while at work. Any employees who are conducting themselves in an unsafe manner or are not performing their function correctly after a reasonable amount of training need to be brought to the attention of the Management. + Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. Model good behavior. No matter how the employee acts, you always should rise above and behave better. You will always be held to a higher standard. Remember, we are in very abnormal times. No one has to work here. People have choices. Make it difficult for them to want to leave us. + Treat others with respect and dignity. When interacting with co-workers, employees, clients, customers and other vendors remember that you represent ABM and are expected to treat them with respect and dignity. + Foster a work environment that promotes a comfortable work environment. Welcome new employees to the ABM family, help those who are struggling with understanding our procedures, set expectations with your staff that they are expected to treat others with respect and dignity. Elevate concerns of employee behavior immediately to your manager for investigation and resolution. + Work with the employees. Do not sit or drive in a minivan around the lots during your shift. + Be more efficient. This will help when we “drop and go” and when supervisors are at designated check points(ie. QTA4, 2nd floor or returns, if needed) + Know what you are working with on ALL LOTS (QTA4, QTA5, Returns, 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, roof and DS, Buffington or VR Moves) + Be flexible on your shifts. If supervisor take a day off or call out, your shift may change to a later or an earlier shift. ALL SUPERVISOR MUST BE FLEXIBLE. + Ensure all employees are in proper uniform with required protective equipment (i.e. non-slip shoes, ABM vest & Badge). + Conduct required amount of SWOPs (safety observations) during your shift. Address any safety infractions when they happen. Bring serious infractions and repeat infractions to the attention of the Manager. + Ensure the scanners are being used at all times.
