Job Overview:

Brother Bonaventure Extended Care & Rehabilitation Center, affiliated with Trinitas Regional Medical Center, is a 124-bed skilled nursing facility committed to providing continuous care and support for long-term and sub-acute patients. Our licensed facility offers comprehensive services, including 24-hour nursing care, access to hospital support services, therapies, social services, and recreational activities, aimed at promoting independence and enhancing residents' quality of life. With a dedicated staff and personalized care, we ensure a comfortable and caring atmosphere, inviting visitors to experience our compassionate environment firsthand.

Qualifications:

Required:

ASN or Nursing DiplomaStrong communication and organizational skillsProficient computer skills

Preferred:

Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ER nursing experienceGerontological certifications and/or national nursing certifications

Certifications and Licenses Required:

BLS through American Heart Association upon hireACLS Certification within 6 months of start dateActive New Jersey Registered Nurse License or active Compact Registered Nurse License with New Jersey endorsement

Scheduling Requirements:

Evening Shift, 40 hours per week, 3:00pm-11:00pmMonday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will assist in planning and implementing nursing care services as per NJ Dept, of Health, State and Federal regulations.The Registered Nurse Supervisor provides for continuity of care and services for each resident under the direction of the Nurse Manager Charge Nurse, and/or Physician. Assesses resident needs on admission and as needed on a timely basis.The Registered Nurse Supervisor performs treatments and administers medication with physician s order.The Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible to follow standards of practice, policies and procedures set by facility, State, and Federal standards.The Registered Nurse Supervisor provides supervision of ancillary personnel on unit to ensure quality of care services, Participates in performance appraisals.The Registered Nurse Supervisor functions as Charge Nurse if situation requires. Assists ancillary staff with direct patient care activities as needed bed baths, incontinent care, Feeding.The Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for nursing documentation on each resident including, but not limited to, care plans, summaries, nurse s notes.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists Charge Nurse in recording and collecting data needed for continuity of care diabetic testing, intake and output, Physicians overdue visits.The Registered Nurse Supervisor communicates with nursing and ancillary personnel to coordinate planning intervention processes and procedures as needed.The Registered Nurse Supervisor observes and reports on patient status to Nurse Manager and/or Physician.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists Nurse Manager Charge Nurse in staff replacement within guidelines and policies set by Administration.The Registered Nurse Supervisor attends and participates in meetings related to resident care and unit management.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists Charge Nurse in coordinating and implementing interdisciplinary care plans to meet resident needs. Participates in change of shift reports.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.The Registered Nurse Supervisor reinforces basic nursing care concepts to ancillary nursing personnel.The Registered Nurse Supervisor identifies of high-risk residents who would develop pressure sores and timely implementation of preventive and supportive strategies for wound care.The Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for accurate identification and assessments of residents prone to develop sentinel events such as dehydration, fecal impaction, fracture.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in implementing and maintaining preventive strategies for infection control and follows infection control policies and procedures.The Registered Nurse Supervisor reinforces teaching efforts of Nurse Manager Charge Nurse and or In Service Education Department to all nursing personnel.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists the nurse manager in MDS care planning process to ensure continuation of care.The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in order transcription and monthly recaps. Assumes responsibility for own personal educational and developmental needs.
