The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976 we now have seven offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists and three cardiothoracic surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health. Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Oversight of the day to day operations of the scheduling department at their assigned location.  Training and coaching staff in all areas of their job functions and ensuring accurate and timely patient access.

Essential Responsibilities:

Oversight of all scheduling staff at assigned office.Ensure accurate and complete provider schedules at assigned office.Track staff productivity in various areas.  Audit patient care slips, ensure completion of no show reports, and reminder calls for assigned office.Implement internal policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the department.Oversee Order Facilitator, completion of provider and employee tasks, and hospital scheduling process at assigned office.Cover scheduling areas as needed during peak times, vacations, illnesses, etc.Consult with providers/clinical staff to schedule patients or resolve scheduling questions.Work with referring ph8sicain offices to help build relationships and resolve concerns.Provider timely and accurate feedback on processes and challenges to Scheduling Manager.Complete projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

5 years in medical registration/scheduling setting.
