It is expected that the Supervisor Security will demonstrate behavior consistent with CommonSpirit Health core value and Humankindness. The Supervisor Security shall support CommonSpirit Health’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities. **Essential Key Job Responsibilities** 1. Supervises the day-to-day operations of the security function to include the protection of physical assets and the securing of the entire facility. This duty involves the direction, oversight and evaluation of in-house security officers and off-duty law enforcement officers 2. Establishes and Maintains an active liaison with other internal departments. 3. Interviews and selects staff, both ensuring each staff member is provided appropriate orientation and on-going training to ensure the highest quality customer service 4. Provides coaching and counseling to staff; completes annual performance appraisals with the approval of the Director of Security, Provides verbal and written feedback to employees as appropriate; completes counseling documentation as needed with the approval of the Director of Security. 5. Develops, Implements, and Maintains security plans and procedures. 6. Operates the employee and vendor badging systems as needed. 7. Reviews and evaluates security related reports, surveys and audits. 8. Make security decisions in the absence of the Manager/Director of Security 9. Ensures security employees are adhering to security procedures through constant evaluation and frequent patrol of hospital property 10. Prepares security related reports and information for management as required 11. Provides assistance to the Manager/Director of Security in the preparation and monitoring of the security budget as requested. 12. Conducts discrete internal investigations as required. 13. Coordinates planning and preparedness activities for the continued development and maintenance of the System’s Emergency Preparedness Plans as directed by the Manager/Director of Security. 14. Accepts 24/7 responsibility for the security function, delegating as appropriate to ensure the safety and security of the facility. _The job summary and responsibilities listed above are designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed within this job. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned._ **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience** Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice, Safety Administration, Emergency Management, or A combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. **Required Licensure and Certifications** AUTO:KY BLS-CPR **Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training** Maintain all other required training/certifications thereafter while employed by CommonSpirit Health. Completion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HCb, 200b, & 700a courses to be completed within 90 days of employment. Must be able to speak English, communicate clearly orally, and in writing.
