This is a Salaried position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor, Security will oversee security operations and technical security measures of OSF Facilities. The Supervisor will lead the Security team. Will develop plans and identify training needs to meet best practice standards regarding camera surveillance, alarm and security operations, code response and training. The Supervisor will be trained as a Security Officer, and will be responsible for all Security personnel administrative functions. Available for “on-call" emergency events – 24 hour on-call status and accountability. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: American Heart Associate CPR-Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification within 1 year of hire. IAHSS Certified Security Officer, National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire. LCMMC, HMMC/SHMC: Active FOID Card High School or GED and five years' experience in Security or Associate and 3 years' experience in Security. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in healthcare security. Excellent assessment, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Handles confrontation in a compassionate and diplomatic manner. Exercises the authority of the position while knowing how to delegate. Working knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and Life Safety codes as they relate to CCTV operations/Access control concepts and Security required.
