**Work Shift:** Please see job description for details. **Time Type:** Full time **Department:** CC014040 Sleep Disorders **Summary:** Sleep Lab - 5 yrs related exp & RPSGT required - Variable shifts, days and nights, some weekend shifts required Supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of all services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality sleep disorders treatment. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Participates in research related to Sleep Disorders to promote growth within Sleep Medicine. Specific duties may include: organizing, facilitating, implementing, and prioritizing activities to ensure quality patient care delivery in accordance with hospital, professional and regulatory standards. Supervises staff providing role modeling, coaching, consoling, mentoring, evaluation, and discipline according to policy and procedures. **Additional Information:** **Sleep Lab** **Variable shifts, days and nights, some weekend shifts required** **5 yrs related work experience required** **RPSGT required** **Required Education:** Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience **Recommended Education:** **Required Work Experience:** Related Field - 5 years of experience **Recommended Work Experience:** **Required Certifications:** Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) **Recommended Certifications:** Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP): (AR) - Arkansas State Medical Board, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) **Description** 1. Utilizes staff resources effectively and efficiently in order to provide routine and complex patient care. Supervises the collection, coding, scoring and process for validation of sleep disorder data. 2. Ensures that the team documents patient care according to policy. Develops quality improvement processes, score cards, audits, monitors, and case reviews that include goals and performance targets for clinical processes and outcomes. 3. Identifies and implements changes to which result in improve patient care, efficiency, work settings, and employee/patient satisfaction. Participates in formal benchmarking activities and evidence-based literature to identify best practices that may be applicable to the clinical program. 4. Promotes and supports participation in quality improvement and clinical research activities ensuring they are beneficial to the department. Assists with developing and maintain registries to facilitate performance improvement activities, trend reports, and research while protecting patient confidentiality. 5. Models, represents, and leads effective communication and collaboration with all involved team members regarding patient care within the department and organization. 6. Completes educational activities to maintain and increase competency for self and recommends education resources and learning activities for team members. Coaches and mentors more junior level technologists and therapists. 7. Maximizes and manages allocated resources to achieve the desired departmental and program results ensuring that the performance improvement initiatives will provide for improvement in both outcomes and efficiency of patient care. 8. May maintain in stock supplies, equipment and requests non-stock items from outside vendors practicing cost management. 10.
