Summary: Goldbelt Apex is looking for an experienced Supervisor Statistician for a potential five (5) year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and writing detailed specifications for analysis, managing data, and producing analyses, data tables, and figures. They will also communicate statistical analyses and data issues with the Principal Investigator, study staff, collaborators, and clients. Additionally, the Supervisor Statistician will direct duties and assign tasks to work unit statisticians and data support personnel, interpret analyses, write statistical sections of study reports, and design and conduct all aspects of research while providing scientific input into the research process in low-level blast environment characterization. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Conduct statistical analyses and oversee all data-related duties, including data management, data sharing, data processing, and analysis. Supervises statistical analysis of independent data groups using appropriate scientific methods. Create data analysis plans and designs to analyze complex data sets from diverse scientific areas. Participate in all research aspects, including study design and overseeing, collecting, managing, processing, analyzing, and reporting data. Approach novel analytical problems with adequate and appropriate solutions. Prepare briefings, technical reports, and manuscripts for publication in professional journals. Apply excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Manage human subjects' protocol documentation and regulatory files. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Advanced programming skills in SAS, Matlab, C, C+, C++, Java, and VBA Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve, and coordinate daily activities to support effective improvement in individual patients. Strong leadership/management skills and responsible for directing and guiding research staff and study participants. Demonstrates knowledge, skill, and ability to use basic office automation and information management equipment and programs (i.e., word processing, database management, email, etc.). Communicate diplomatically and professionally with research staff and study participants. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate written and electronic documentation of all activity by requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, biomedical engineering, engineering, or related field, or relevant work experience US Citizen - Must be able to obtain and maintain up to a secret clearance. 5 years of relevant statistician experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in blast research setting actively involved in study design, or equivalent experience a plus. Military experience is a plus.
