We have an opening in our Sterility Department for a Supervisor. Responsible for all aspects of daily management of the Sterility department. Supervises, plans and reviews operations for assigned staff, including responsibility for training, managing and evaluating as well as coordinating, scheduling and assigning work and maintaining facility's standards.
Responsibilities Staff, train, & manage staffEnsure laboratory & client needs are metOversee the daily operations of the departmentIdentify areas for improvement & implement necessary changesWrites and adopts SOPs, lab documents & technical guidelinesSchedules and arranges resources of the departmentWorks on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is requiredNormally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignmentsWorks under minimal supervision from manager or senior personnelContributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goalsPerform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating ProceduresThorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing PracticesMay be required to work holidays and weekendsOther duties as assigned May be required to assist in other departments QualificationsExperience / Education
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience3-5 years of relevant industry experience including 1 year supervisor or team lead experienceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Ability to work in a team environment and independently as requiredAbility to analyze and interpret dataProficient in Oral & Written communication skillsNeed to be able to read, write and understand English Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)Physical Requirements:
Clarity of Vision – ability to distinguish colorsMust be able to work in lab setting with exposure to biohazards / chemicals Must be able to wear appropriate PPEMust be able to work in environment with variable noise levelsAbility to stand / sit / walk for long periods of time Ability to lift / push / pull / move 40 lbs. routinelyAbility to crouch, bend, twist, and reachMust be able to work in small, confined spacesMust be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
