The Supply Chain Supervisor will report directly to Pemko’s Supply Chain Manager.  This role will be responsible for leading and supporting Pemko’s inventory data management, inventory receiving processes,  cycle counting process, and inventory storage management processes.   Addtionally, this key role will be responsible to drive strategic sourcing and costs savings initiatives within the supply chain group.   This role will directly supervise the daily functions of the receiving and inventory analyst resources within the team.  This responsibilities Include all aspects of material flow,  control, and accuracy of overall inventoried goods, including all transactions, warehousing, and costs to ensure that customer orders are filled on time.    Ensure that the basic functionality of the team is operating in an efficient and professional manner incorporating lean and sustainable practices and disciplines throughout all activities while working in sync with other departments.

Performance Improvement: contributes to improving the team’s performance by identifying supply chain optimization processes Data Integrity:  Serves as lead with ensuring ongoing data management of all component goods within organizational ERP system.  Includes supporting change management process within data entegrity. Cost Savings: defines cost reduction objectives and strategies, plans, develops, and implements benchmarking and cost cutting activities, including strategic sourcing improvements. Inventory Management: drive improvements in inventory transactional integrity, and overall organization of inventoried materials.

 

Responsibilities

 

Research and recommend new suppliers to improve cost, performance, and quality Drive lean transformation throughout the supply chain and continuous improvement in all aspects of the inventory management processes Drive and manage material and inventory accuracy through data management, internal transactional integrity, and routine inventory cycle counting processes. Develop and lead cost savings projects Participate in VA/VE events Perform other related duties for the efficient and effective functioning of the working unit, includes working with quality, warehouse, plant supervisors/leads, engineering, product management, and customer service

 

Qualifications / Experience:

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Other related field, and/or equivalent years experience Advanced Knowledge of procurement and inventory principals, theories, and processes 1+ years of supply management experience with proven negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to lead a team of inventory handlers and inventory technicians. Strong Knowledge of ERP system – JDE preferred Strong analytical and decision making skills in forecasting, planning, and inventory management Able to develop an active collaboration with colleagues Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Excellent negotiation skills Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) Ability to influence and work through cross-functional teams Understanding of cost reduction initiatives and strategies Ability to multitask and contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment
