Responsible to the Nurse, and responsible for nursing resource utilization, assumes responsibility for front line leadership of a clinical service line reporting to Nurse Manager. The Operating Room Service Supervisor should be proficient with scheduling Operating Room assignments, staffing assignments, have experience with Quality Improvements, and an Understanding of Regulatory Requirements such as The Joint Commission, and CMS.
Responsibilities
Follows process that define qualifications, responsibilities, competencies of staff needed to provide care and services that meet the needs of the Operating Room.
Familiar with each Operating Room staffing plan to meet customer and service needs that effectively addresses staffing guidelines, productivity measures, and the Operating Room plan of care to provide safe and high quality service.
Leads on departmental work teams that successfully assess, revise, and improve work outcomes.
Provides frequent and clear communication and feedback to staff based on individual needs and job requirements.
Administers corrective action as needed to Staff and the Operating Room.
Provides or facilitates continuing education/training for team members, with particular focus on quality improvement in teams, use of equipment, interpersonal relationships, customer service, and leadership as assigned or delegated.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas;
BLS-CPR upon hire
A minimum of three years clinical nursing experience in an Operating Room as an Operating Room Nurse with at least two years in the clinical OR Service they will be leading.
Has developed and presented education sessions.
Experience with performance management and assisted with orientation of staff. Has experience investigating problems and provides solutions with- in the framework of best practice and nursing process.
Previous OR charge or supervisory experience preferred.
