Manages, directs and coordinates the technical services personnel. Relies on individual judgment and initiative, executes priorities and schedules the functions required to ensure the installation, calibration, operation and maintenance of all the instrumentation and control equipment of Gas Production, Gas Control, Construction & Maintenance, Customer Service and system Operations is performed in a safe, reliable and timely manner. Develops approaches to meet required objectives, have a broadened perspective and problem-solving ability through experience with other areas. Evaluates, directs and develops assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership in accomplishing goals and strategies for the division that comply with corporate goals.

Responsible for operating with O&M budget guidelines

Responsible for the proper odorization of gas entering the system and for maintaining proper levels of odorant in the storage tanks.

Responsible for the training of employees in this center and for ensuring all employees perform their work following all safety regulations and procedures.

Responsible for the installation, maintenance and calibration of all remote control equipment at city gate stations and system stations.

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of AMR devices on interruptible industrial and commercial customers

​Required/Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or other closely related discipline

In addition to required degree, seven (7) or more years of related work experience

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of the gas industry, and gas measurement methods, including automatic meter reading systems, odorization systems and propane/air plants.

Knowledge of the Company’s retail gas rates, as well as the interstate transmission companies that deliver gas to the Company.

Knowledge of DOT CFR 195 as it relates to functions of this job.

Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

Able to work under tight timelines and meet deadlines.

Extensive use of PC, mainframe and software applications.

Able to be flexible and work additional hours as needed

Specific Requirements

Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or mechanical engineering or engineering technology with seven (7) or more years of related work experience

Or have an associate degree in engineering or mechanical engineering or engineering technology and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the same degree program with ten (10) or more years of related work experience

Must have some knowledge of the gas feeder line and distribution system.

Must have a thorough knowledge of city gate measurement and large industrial measurement.

Highly proficient in the use of information systems, including PC applications, such as MS Access, Word, and Excel

Valid driver license required for travel to Company facilities.

Extensive use of PC, mainframe and software applications including CAD drafting software.
