**Job Summary**
The Supervisor, Virtual Services oversees the daily operations of the Virtual Services Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through effective staff management and operational oversight. This role provides leadership to the Virtual Monitor Safety Technicians, ensuring compliance with patient safety monitoring protocols and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Supervisor works collaboratively with the Virtual Services Center Manager, hospital site nursing teams, and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and enhance patient outcomes.
**Essential Functions**
+ Manages the daily staffing model, ensuring appropriate shift coverage, including breaks, to meet patient census and care needs.
+ Oversees the onboarding, orientation, and development of new hires, promoting employee satisfaction and retention.
+ Supervises and coaches Virtual Monitor Safety Technicians, addressing performance concerns and escalating issues to the Virtual Services Center Manager or Director as needed.
+ Monitors and evaluates staff competencies through the Advanced Learning System (ALC), providing opportunities for professional development and career growth.
+ Facilitates communication between the Virtual Services Center and hospital sites, addressing patient escalations and reviewing de-escalation recommendations.
+ Serves as a liaison for hospital staff, community stakeholders, and other institutions, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
+ Assists with the interview and hiring process, collaborating with leadership on candidate selection.
+ Tracks and analyzes operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
+ Participates in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ H.S. Diploma or GED required
+ Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred
+ 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare or virtual services setting required
+ 1-2 years of experience working in a Virtual Service Center environment preferred
+ 1-2 years of prior supervisory experience preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
+ Knowledge of patient safety monitoring protocols and healthcare operational standards.
+ Proficiency in scheduling, staffing models, and workforce management tools.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment required
