Summary: Ensures the Whey Plant is operating properly and oversees control of all incoming and outgoing
product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assists and manages the enhancement of both the technical and financial performance of the department
under the direction of the manager.
2. Must be able to manage the whey plant operation including overseeing and controlling all incoming and
outgoing products, the proper operation and maintenance of all equipment, production output, sanitation,
product specifications, quality and manage all personal.
3. Responsible for the enforcement of all safety rules, GMP's, company policies and quality programs to
ensure safe quality food.
4. Troubleshoots and resolves operational/mechanical problems in a timely basis to insure an efficient,
smooth flow of product.
5. Performs preventative maintenance inspections on a daily, weekly, monthly schedule to identify problems
before they occur.
6. Follow proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures for each process and product line.
7. Performs pre-shift and/or start up inspection to determine condition of each process.
8. Continuously monitors each process and makes necessary adjustments for a smooth continuous flow.
9. Operates lift truck as appropriate.
10. Maintains an open line of communication with operators, baggers, truck drivers, and contacts in other
departments.
11. Completes scheduling and maintains proper levels of manpower making adjustments when necessary.

Qualifications:
Background in fluid flow, metering of liquids and silo rotation is preferred. Strong computer skills as well as strong communication abilities both written and verbal required. Mechanical background will help candidate be successful.Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma/GED required.Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science/Chemistry or dairy or other related experience preferred.Bi-weekly payroll - work 4 days, then off 3. 2nd week - work 3 days, then off 4. Will be explained further at the interview.
Salary Description $58,000 - $68,000
