Summary This vacancy is for a GS-0301-14, Supervisory Case Management Specialist located in the National Pollution Funds Center, Case Management Division, Washington, D.C.. Responsibilities You will serve as a Supervisory Case Management Specialist and be responsible for: Supervising employees who are responsible for executing the life-cycle financial management portfolio of Federal Projects instrumental in making funds available for the removal of discharged oil. Managing the implementation of new and revised policy in response to changes in oil exploration, production, and transportation as a result of the ongoing transformation of the North American energy industry. Ensuring timely and appropriate access to oil and hazardous substance removal funding for Federal On-Scene Coordinators and their support elements and services. Providing advice, counsel, and instructions to Case Managers and others to ensure the proper Compliance - Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring execution of procedures to effect the appropriate cost recovery decisions per relevant law, regulation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and policy. Qualifications To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Examples of specialized experience may include: Implementing new and revised policies in response to changes in oil exploration, production and transportation Ensuring timely and appropriate access to oil and hazardous substance removal funding. Experience with accounting and financial processes associated with cost documentation and cost recovery efforts as it relates to the Oil Pollution Act. Preparing detailed analyses of productivity measures, data integrity checks, and other management oversight capabilities concerning oil removal projects.
