Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serves as a first-level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees assigned to a branch within the Plans & Policy Directorate (J5). Responsibilities Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for and directs and coordinates the work of assigned personnel. Identifies team members’ developmental and training needs and arranges for needed development and/or training. Advocates for and develops cyberspace strategy, policy, and doctrine for use by the DoD cyberspace program community and across the US Government. Requires frequent coordination with the Joint Staff to synchronize cyberspace operations planning as the cyberspace operations coordinating authority. Plans, leads, and conducts broad-based analyses to lead the branch in continuing efforts to define/refine DoD cyberspace program community-level requirements and priorities.
